How To Register

You may register for the 16th Tcl/Tk Conference by

If you register in advance, You will recieve a $100 discount over the at-the-door conference rate.

You can register at the door when you arrive at the Red Lion Hotel

Registration will be open daily from 08:30 until 17:00.

Conference Location

The conference will be held at the Red Lion Hotel , with rooms at $109.00 (US) per night from Saturday (9/26) to the following Saturday (10/3). (Extensions of this rate may be possible. Inquire when you make a reservation.)

To register for a room at the conference hotel, you must call the Red Lion at (800) 343-1822. Be certain to mention that you are with the Tcl (TICKLE) Conference to get the Tcl/Tk Conference room rate. The corporate registration office does not know about our block rate.

These rooms will be released to the general public after August 28, so be sure to reserve your room early.

Conference Registration Information

All prices are US$.

Technical Sessions (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) registration includes:

  • Access to all conference technical sessions
  • Access to evening BOFs and community meetings
  • One set of proceedings on CD
  • Breakfast and morning and evening snack breaks

Each tutorial is one half-day session (3 hours instruction time + one break). Tutorials have limited space. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tutorial Sessions (Monday, Tuesday) registration includes:

  • Access to all registered tutorial sessions
  • Complete course handouts
  • Snack break during the tutorial

Walk-in registration: Add $100 to your total fees when registering on-site.

Tutorial Pricing

The Tcl/Tk Conference Committee is offering tutorials on a Cheaper-By-The-(one-third)Dozen schedule. Rather than a flat rate, the tutorials become cheaper as you learn more.

Special Discounts
Full Time Student Attending the Technical Sessions is free for students, with proof of status, a copy of your student ID and class schedule. Technical Sessions plus 3 Meals is $50.00.
Presenters Deduct $100 from your total fees if you are presenting a paper

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel your registration, please email [email protected]. Registration fees for cancellations received before July 1st will be refunded after a $100 processing charge has been deducted.

Transportation

Air

Portland is served by Portland International Airport (PDX).

Take the MAX Train from the airport to the hotel. Red Lion will reimburse the $1.80 for the train fare.

You can reach the hotel from the airport by Taxi if you prefer that.

Ground

Portland, OR is served by Greyhound and Amtrak.

Local

It will not be necessary to rent a car for the duration of the conference.
