Tcl'2011 Registration

We are pleased to announce the 18th Annual Tcl/Tk conference (Tcl'2011), sponsored by The Tcl Community Association, with help from:

Learn from the experts and share your knowledge. The annual Tcl/Tk conference is the best opportunity to talk with experts and peers, cross-examine the Tcl/Tk core team, learn about what's coming and how to use what's here.

How To Register

You may register for the 18^th Tcl/Tk Conference by

• At the door.

If you register in advance, You will recieve a $100 discount over the at-the-door conference rate.

You can register at the door when you arrive at the Comfort Suites Manassas

Registration will be open daily from 08:30 until 17:00.

Conference Location

The conference will be held at the Comfort Suites Manassas , with rooms at $99.00 (US) per night from Thursday (10/20) to the following Tuesday (11/1).

To register for a room at the conference hotel, you must call them at (703) 686-1100. Be certain to mention that you are with the Tcl/Tk Conference to get the Tcl/Tk Conference room rate.

These rooms will be released to the general public after September 15, so be sure to reserve your room early.

To register for the conference you must call the Comfort Suites, Manassas directly. The central corporate registration office does not know about our block rate.

Conference Registration Information

All prices are US$.

Technical Sessions (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) registration includes:

• Access to all conference technical sessions
• Access to evening BOFs and community meetings
• One set of proceedings on CD
• Breakfast and morning and evening snack breaks

Each tutorial is one half-day session (3 hours instruction time + one break). Tutorials have limited space. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tutorial Sessions (Monday, Tuesday) registration includes:

• Access to all registered tutorial sessions
• Complete course handouts
• Snack break during the tutorial

Extra Proceedings (CD-based)	$5
Extra Proceedings (Paper-based)	$20
Walk-in registration: Add $100 to your total fees when registering on-site.

Tutorial Pricing

Special Discounts
Full Time Student	Attending the Technical Sessions is free for students, with proof of status, a copy of your student ID and class schedule. Technical Sessions plus 3 Meals is $50.00.
Presenters	Deduct $100 from your total fees if you are presenting a paper

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel your registration, please email [email protected]. Registration fees for cancellations received before July 1st will be refunded after a $100 processing charge has been deducted.

Transportation

Air

Manassas is one of the western suburbs of Washington, DC. Dulles (IAD) is the closest airport. Taxi or commercial shuttle is available from IAD to the hotel.

Ground

Manassas is also served by Greyhound and Amtrak. The Amtrak station is not walking distance from the hotel.

Local

It will not be necessary to rent a car for the duration of the conference.

You can reach the hotel from the airport by Taxi.

The Comfort Suites is within a commercial/shopping mall district with restaurants ranging from TGIFriday's to quiet Japanese sit-down, and stores ranging from office supply, and electronics to clothing and sports equipment.
